Rotational Internship mandatory for MBBS Students
- NMC has been receiving many queries in regards to the internship completion in institutions other than where the students have been enrolled for their MBBS training mainly due to the COVID Pandemic.
- The Under graduate Medical Education Board of the Commission after careful consideration of the representatives and existing regulatory provisions has finally decided that Internship can be completed in the teaching hospital affiliated to the Medical Institutions where the student is enrolled for their MBBS Training.
- Any difficulty faced due to the current situation, it can be completed at another NMC approved medical college hospital subject to the satisfaction of the College authorities and University concerned where the student has enrolled.
- Further, if a student is allowed to complete an internship in another approved medical institution, there should be no charges imposed for completing the internship as it is a part of MBBS training.
