BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)

BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery or BDS course is an undergraduate course in the field of dentistry.)
The students who dream to have a flourishing career as dentists can take up BDS and fulfil the same. The BDS widens the understanding of dental care and oral health. The BDS programme provides a thorough understanding of dental procedures and also provides hands-on experience in oral medicine applications.
The students can choose to start their career as dentists in hospitals or polyclinics. If they are entrepreneurs at heart then they can set up their own clinics and start practising
The BDS students will be studying diverse topics in their BDS programme such as; Embryology, Dental Anatomy, Dental materials, General pathology, General Surgery, Oral Microbiology, Dental Therapeutics and many more

Eligibility Shall have passed two years Pre University Examination conducted by Dept. of Pre – University Education, Karnataka State with English as one of the subjects and Physics Chemistry and Biology as optional sub. The candidates shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also must have secured 50% marks in PCB

Government Colleges(G)- Rs. 49,850 per annum onwards
Government Private Seats(G) - Rs. 95,808 per annum onwards
GMP/OPN (P) in Private Colleges - Rs. 3,12,450 per annum onwards
NRI - Rs. 3,62,450to Rs. 9,41,150 per annum
MCC:
All India Quota(AIQ) - Rs. 53,650- Rs. 80,000 per annum
Private - Rs.3,70, 000 to Rs. 7,00,000 per annum
NRI - $11000 to $31000 per annum

Admission Process

The students seeking admission to dental colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) should undergo counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The candidates seeking admission to BDS should mandatorily qualify NEET-BDS Exam. The NEET-BDS qualified students are required to undergo two types of counselling. 

The students seeking admission to private deemed universities should undergo counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). 

Other Information

Eligibility: A candidate shall be eligible to join the BDS course if he /she has passed the two-year Pre-University Examination of Karnataka’s Pre-University Board (or equivalent qualifying examination of other recognised boards) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as one of the languages of study. He/she should have appeared and qualified in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)
