BSc Forensic Science (Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science)
The course focuses on the application of scientific techniques in solving crime and legal issues. It covers the theory and practical aspects of modern DNA technology, toxicology, analytical techniques and clinical diagnosis. Candidates are taught the techniques to collect evidence, label samples, store and preserve evidence, keep a record of evidence, analyze and detect abnormalities using scientific techniques, make conclusions and inferences and prepare reports on findings. Skills like analytical reasoning, critical and logical thinking and decision-making, are enhanced through this course.
